New Website Offers Free Advice For Job Seekers

April 26, 2010 - PRLog -- A new web site, offering good advice to help job seekers find a great new job, is now online at www.employment-essentials.com. The site is a cooperative effort between Pale Hose Communications, an Oklahoma City advertising firm, and P S Consulting, an Oklahoma City human resources/career counseling company, according to Bill Wasinger, creative director with Pale Hose Communications.

The blog will provide tips and information to help those searching for a job or just considering a career change, Wasinger said. “What we’ve learned is the old model of answering ads and sending out résumés has been turned upside down, and the modern workplace has changed almost as much. So, if we can help people navigate these new job-search waters, whether it’s by offering résumé tips, networking advice, or even thoughts on appropriate interview attire, then that’s what we hope to accomplish with employment-essentials.com.”

The employment-search advice site developed from a lost client, Wasinger noted. “We had been working with a human resources company and, when they went out of business, the irony of a headhunting firm putting more people out of work really hit home. We still had some unpublished, blog-type copy we had done for that client on hand and, when we contacted some other local career consultants about putting it to good use, they were very happy to help us with additional material for the Employment Essentials website.”
