April 24, 2010 - PRLog -- Rangirangdoo has been scratched from tomorrow’s Group One Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick, with trainer Chris Waller deciding give the Doncaster Mile winner a rest.

Waller had already said after last week’s victory that he would be monitoring the gelding throughout the week before making his final decision.

Rangirangdoo was the early favourite for the Queen Elizabeth but was scratched today.

Waller said the horse had done an outstanding job and didn’t need to run again. They had made the mistake of backing him up in the spring and he wanted to send him out on a winning note.

The scratching leaves Waller with just one representative in the Queen Elizabeth with 2008 Doncaster winner Triple Honour to take his place in the race.

Triple Honour finished seventh in last week’s Doncaster.

Other scratchings for the weekend are the Paul Messara-trained Group One winner Alverta for tomorrow’s Listed Hall Mark Stakes and the David Payne-trained Bombay for the Group One Champagne Stakes.
