Aloft hotel in Green Bay expands its Operations Team

The only Starwood property in the Green Bay market has been steadily growing since 2009. The hotel recently welcomed a new General Manager to its growing hotel team.

April 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Green Bay, WI, April 19, 2010/Press Release/ -- CPC Hospitality continues to expand and grow its Green Bay hotel property, the Aloft Green Bay.  The Aloft hotel brand is one of the fastest growing select-service hotel brands in the industry today and a vision of Starwood’s ever-popular W hotels.  With the addition of Elizabeth Schaick as the Aloft Green Bay hotel’s newly assigned General Manager, Kurt Furlong, Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing, CPC Hospitality, has successfully brought two veteran, former hotel staffers together again.  The Aloft’s Director of Sales, Stacie Christel, and Schaick once worked side by side at competitor Hilton Garden Inn, Green Bay.  Since taking over management of the one year old property, Furlong and Robert Willard, Senior Vice President of Operations, CPC Hospitality, have what Willard calls their “dream team in place.”  Willard adds, “the Aloft hotel is currently positioned in an upward swing.”

Schaick brings nearly a decade of sales and management experience to the Aloft Green Bay.  Furlong believes she has the strategic leadership skills to carry Aloft into and through the craziness of its second Green Bay Packer Football Season.  While new to Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., Furlong says, “Elizabeth will lead with passion and commitment.  She will have the Aloft Green Bay thriving.”

Willard says the current model at Aloft is a good one, adding, “Schaick will only strengthen it with her consistent drive, while cultivating the guest, and the Starwood Preferred Guest, experience.”  Ask anyone who has stayed at an Aloft…they will probably tell you there is something unparalled about the whole “Aloft Experience”.  Furlong believes Schaick is ideal for the GM role, due in part to the way she retains staff.  “She will inspire and motivate our talent,” says Furlong.

All Aloft hotels are unique not only for their modern, European, grab-and-go style, but also its use a unique, hip lingo, with staff, for example, referred to as “talent”.  Schaick says she knows very well how to run the daily operations of a hotel, but adds, “it’s all the Starwood and Aloft lingo that can be more intimidating than balancing an annual budget!”  Schaick says she is “thrilled and honored” to be a part of a brand with so much growth potential, a seasoned team of professionals, and a company composed of a continually-growing portfolio.
