Montessori Teachers College, located at 12 Bannockburn Avenue [near Avenue Road and Hwy. 401], is a registered Private College in Ontario. The team of international trainers, led by world-renowned Montessori Trainer, Paula Glasgow, ensures the highest standards of teaching and learning at MTC. The College is accredited by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE). The MACTE Commission is the premier, internationally recognized, standard-setting and accrediting body for Montessori teacher education. Teacher candidates completing the MACTE-accredited program are assured of the broadest possible opportunity for acceptance of their Montessori credentials throughout Canada and the world.
The College has expanded its program selection, which now includes diploma courses for those interested in teaching infants and toddlers from birth through three years, young children from two and a half through six years, and elementary children aged six through nine years of age.
All courses may be attended part-time in order to accommodate work and/or internship schedules. Most importantly, Montessori Teachers College maintains a graduate employment rate of 95% for those who graduate and choose to work in a Montessori Private School.
