The 7th Annual German Bierfest will be held on Saturday, August 28th, 2010 in Woodruff Park in Atlanta, GA. The festival will run from 2:00 – 7:00 pm. Volunteers, sponsors, and entertainers are still needed to take part in this popular Atlanta celebration of German beer.
Hosted by the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern US, Inc., the event will include over thirty types of beer, entertainment for the whole family, and a variety of cultural food. Already on the schedule is local Atlanta band, The Conditionals (http://www.myspace.com/

Volunteers are still needed for two periods, from 2 – 4:30pm and from 4:30 – 7pm. Volunteers who work for one shift will be provided free admittance to the Bierfest when they are not working. The German Bierfest is an event for the whole family: children and designated drivers are welcome and will not have to pay an entrance fee. However, no one under 21 will be allowed to drink and no pets will be admitted, no exceptions. Usage of public transportation is encouraged and if anyone finds themselves in an unsafe condition to drive home, a designated driver company will be available.
