Lush plantings are spotlighted during Chicago's Gardens of The Magnficient Mile
Gardens of The Magnificent Mile blooms with summer-long offers and musical artistry along and around Michigan Avenue in Chicago. The campaign offers visitors a chance to take advantage of all that The Magnificent Mile has to offer while enjoying the collection of lush gardens funded by area businesses. From June 21 through September, visitors and residents alike can take advantage of value-packed offers from hundreds of retailers, restaurants and hotels located along one of the great avenues of the world. In addition, the Walgreens Summer Concert Series along with media partners ABC 7 Chicago and 101.9fm THE MIX, will spotlight three top musical artists during free outdoor concerts. The three lunchtime concerts will be scheduled in June, July and August, with final concert location, dates, and musical artists announced soon.
Consumer events occur throughout The Magnificent Mile district from Oak Street south to Wacker Drive and along streets east and west of The Mile. Each year, the individual properties that privately fund the unique gardens compete for awards that recognize honor, merit and special recognition awards for the beautification efforts.
