Kaeng Raeng was created by founder and CEO, Lindsay Reinsmith, a Stanford alum and Palo Alto resident. Prior to founding Kaeng Raeng, Ms. Reinsmith worked in investment banking, advising consumer goods businesses on mergers & acquisitions transactions.
For years, Reinsmith struggled to maintain healthy eating and envisioned a detox beverage product that could remove toxins, jumpstart weight loss, and reduce cravings. While at Stanford she developed a fruit-based detox formula that would later become Kaeng Raeng. In March 2009, years after leaving Stanford, Reinsmith posted on Facebook that she had lost 8 pounds in one week using this formula and was inundated with responses from interested men and women, hoping to buy a product that would lead to similar results. Reinsmith realized she had created a quality product that was missing from the cleanse market: a healthy, nutritional, delicious, safe way to detox and lose weight without fasting or dieting. Kaeng Raeng in the Thai language means “be healthy. be strong.” Phuket, Thailand hosts the largest vegetarian festival in the world each year, and Kaeng Raeng supports the animal free lifestyle and vegetarian nature of Thai cuisine. Each serving of Kaeng Raeng contains the equivalent of 8 oz of fresh fruit, providing more than a full serving of fruit to many customers in parts of the US with limited access to fresh fruits and vegetables, especially during the winter months.
