Singer/Songwriter/Producer Karsten Durand
Top class entertainment and Caribbean literacy will combine to provide a potpourri of events so invigorating that no one will want to leave. The opening act for the book launch of an autobiography by Barbadian –born Yvette Maynard will be Award-Winning Singer/Songwriter/
Durand’s songwriting talents have not gone unnoticed having received awards from the Georgia Music Industry Association as well as topping the charts of several prominent internet music sites. He has made several appearances as a Motivational speaker at schools and organizations in the USA, Belize, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, St. Maarten, the Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom.
Other performance credits include: singing the National Anthem for the Atlanta Braves, pre-game show for the Atlanta Falcons at the Georgia Dome, halftime shows for the Atlanta Hawks, events at Six Flags (Atlanta, GA) and Sea World (San Antonio, TX), GMIA songwriters showcase at the Celebrity Rock Cafe and Eddie’s Attic in Atlanta, concerts and conferences in Germany, Italy, Austria and Cancun, command performances for former First Lady Nancy Reagan and live TV performances on Peachtree Morning and Good Day Atlanta.
Through his management team, CSB Management Group, Karsten is set to grace the stage of the Ship Inn in Barbados as the second installment of the Artist Reciprocation Programme, a collaborative effort between CSB Management Group in Atlanta and Atlanta based Carib Voice Radio, an online radio station with offices in Barbados and New York. In keeping with the concept of the Artist Reciprocation Programme, the recording of a single between Karsten and Kirk Brown, winner of the 2009 Barbados Music Award for Video of the Year (Male) and founder of Strategy The Band in Barbados, will be produced in Atlanta while the music video for the same single will be produced in picturesque Barbados.
Karsten will be performing on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Westside Gastroenterology Associates’ new facility located at 3825 Medical Park Drive, Austell, Georgia 30106 during their Grand Opening celebration which starts at 10:00 am. www.karstendurand.com
