Chowchilla, CA – The colts and fillies for sale at the Lazy K Ranch 27th Annual Pick-A-Colt Day sale, Saturday, June 5, are now available for viewing online on both LazyKRanch.com and YouTube.com.
Some of the best ranch horse bloodlines are represented including Colonel Freckles, Doc O’ Lena, Sugar Bars, Hollywood Dun It, Peppy San Badger and Shining Spark. This Quarter Horse and Paint horse sale offers colts, fillies, yearlings and a few very kid-friendly riding horses all priced to sell with at least 50 head priced between $575 and $975.
Information on each sale horse including their pedigree, a photograph, and the photographs of their sire and dam are now viewable on the ranch’s Web site. A YouTube video features the ranch, sale horses and sale information. Shoppers can visit the Web to narrow their selections prior to arrival sale day. All sale horses are pre-priced with prices posted on the ranch Web site, LazyKRanch.com the night before the sale. For those who can’t make the trip to the ranch, the sale is open to Internet buyers one hour after the sale begins. At 11:00 a.m. June 5, www.LazyKRanch.com will add a shopping cart option for those horses still available.

On sale day, June 5th, the ranch gates open at 8:30 a.m. The sale begins at 10:00 a.m. followed by the online portion of the sale. Horses are sold on a first to pick first to purchase basis. Shipping assistance is available for online buyers located in Southern California.
“It’s quite a sight to see when we open up the corrals at 10:00,” said Sherry Knapp. “People are so excited to finally be able to PICK that perfect horse they have been researching online.”
The Lazy K Ranch, owned and operated by the Knapp family, has run cattle and horses in the San Joaquin Valley and Sierra Nevada Mountains for three generations. “We started out as a cow outfit,” said Mike Knapp. “In the summer our cows run on 45,000 thousand acres at elevations up to 6500 feet. To get these cows gathered in the fall we need a horse with a good mind, good legs and a big heart.”
