Free business line rental offered by Cheap Business Calls

At long last a company based in Kent called Cheap Business calls offers a solution for business users to reduce their phone costs and there’s nothing like the arrival of an honest man (or woman) to reveal others as thieves.  That’s the message commercial phone providers like BT will be wanting customers to overlook as this Kent-based provider rolls out the UK’s first and only free business line rental.  Unfortunately for BT, and the rest of the Artful Dodgers thrown into a somewhat harsh light by Cheap Business Calls’ http://www.cheap-business-phone-calls.co.uk/ brand new cheap phone calls initiative, it doesn’t look like there’s anywhere to hide.

Telephone service providers have been promoting their own cheaper business calls for years.  Attractive per-minute costs appeal even to cash-conscious small business, until their eyes get past the bright pictures on the poster and read small print telling them that these costs only apply at 6 a.m. and are subject to minimum call durations of three minutes.  Local and national base rates seem to offer genuinely cheap phone calls – until, again, the little words at the bottom of the ad reveal that these “base rates” are only the jumping-off point for call charges that could be twice as expensive:  and still subject to minimum length rates.  

These all-too-familiar tactics form part of the game known colloquially as “hidden charges”.  When a service provider attracts clients with its cheaper business calls http://www.cheap-business-phone-calls.co.uk/, it tries to find ways to recoup the money lost through the advertised call charges – usually by sticking in all sorts of line rental charges, connection fees and even equipment costs.  It’s the hidden charges, apparently, that “let” a company provide “cheap phone calls”:  the suggestion being that it’s simply not possible for a company to provide cheaper business calls that really are cheaper business calls, unless they make their money back from the consumer in some other way.  So overall, clients of these – let’s face it – fake cheaper business calls providers end up paying the same as they would to an industry giant, without even realising they’re doing it.
