   Devon, PA, April 21, 2010—The Great Recession officially began in December 2007.  Since then, companies have reined in their expenses and watched their sales decline. However, Liberty In Home Care, in Devon, PA, has bucked the trend. They were founded in 2006 and reported their first sales in 2007. In 2008 and 2009 they achieved triple-digit, year-over-year growth. Year-to-date 2010 sales show a double-digit gain as they continue to hire an average of one new employee a week to meet demand. Because of this, we have invested the time to build our network by attending BNI meetings and meeting individually with BNI members.    BNI has several differences from other networking organizations. First, members must apply for membership. This enables BNI to check an individual’s background and assure high-caliber, professional members. Second, only one person from each profession can join a chapter, thus maximizing the number of referrals each person will receive.   Third, members are required to attend the weekly meetings to foster continuity. Finally, all members schedule one-to-one meetings with each other to understand thoroughly each business represented, build relationships and help referrals flow easily.
