Hangzhou Visitors are Stranded in Europe

The ash cloud from the Icelandic volcanic eruption has drifted across Europe, many international airports in Europe have been forced to close and tens of thousands of flights have been canceled. It is known from some Hangzhou travel agencies that at present many Hangzhou visitors are stranded in Europe.

It is reported that a tour group of Zhejiang Construction International Travel Service have visited Milan on April 10th and finished their trip on April 16th. When they arrived at Milan International Airport and prepared to return to China, they were told that influenced by the ash cloud from the Icelandic volcanic eruption, the airport has to be closed temporarily and will be reopened until further notice.

Since most of fights have been canceled, hotels around the airport are fully occupied and vehicles are badly needed. It is learned that airports in Paris will be opened earlier, so the travel agency is planning to send these visitors to Paris and then return to China from there. However, it will take two days to travel from Milan to Paris by bus.
