The Pakistan Cricket Board yesterday named paceman Mohammad Sami and left-arm spinner Abdur Rehman as replacements for the World Twenty20.
They will replace Umar Gul and Yasir Arafat, who were both ruled out of the World Twenty20 due to injuries.
Although selectors had on Sunday named Sami and paceman Mohammad Irfan as the replacements but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said selectors did not follow procedure and instead put forward their selections as approved by the PCB chariman.
The West Indies host the third edition of the World Twenty20 from April 30-May 16. Pakistan, placed in Group A, faces Bangladesh on May 1 and Australia on May 2.
