GigCart.com, http://www.gigcart.com, a free job application tracking solution, has launched its service for job seekers to make the job search easier and more manageable.
Using a simple javascript bookmarklet, GigCart job seekers can add any job they find on any job board or company website to their cart From there, they can manage all activity associated with that job including contacts, notes, and status. Additionally, users can create labels to categorize their job applications by anything they want - category, location, or company.
"We created GigCart to help job seekers get a grip on their search. Job seekers apply to dozens of jobs and have no centralized, automated way to capture each application they submit and track it for them. With GigCart, job seekers can now take control of their job search and stay on top of every application they submit," says Co-Founder Scott Weiss.
"The GigCart.com interface is simple and easy to use," says Tom Krones, Co-Founder. "We went for a very click and user friendly design, and tried to make the entire application self service."
Weiss adds that the service is ideal for professional recruiters. "Recruiters and headhunters need to keep on top of open positions in their markets, so they know what jobs are available for their top candidates. GigCart is a perfect solution for that," he says.
GigCart is available free of charge to job seekers. The company has no immediate plans to generate revenue.
