Aiyafeiya Della Volcano in Iceland broke out on April 14, which greatly impacted on European airlines. From April 15, huge volcanic ash cloud has moved along with airstreams above north and west Europe, which leads widespread closures of most European airports. Not only the European air transportation is almost disrupted, but also flight of Beijing Capital International Airport to Europe are postponed or even canceled. On April 19, besides some flights from Beijing to Russia taking off on schedule, other flights to west Europe like Britain, France, Germany, and Denmark have been canceled.
According to the Beijing airport (
http://www.chinatouronline.com/china-airport/beijing-capi...), the eruption of Aiyafeiya Della Volcano in Iceland has produced large amount of ash, which spread with the wind over the west Europe, and will gradually move over the European mainland. Due to the volcanic ash cloud, European airspace has been shut down, and the reopening time of some countries may be postponed till next week. So far, volcano experts and geophysicists cannot predict the exact date when the volcano will stop erupting. As a result, the delay of European flights will continue in a short time. The capital airport has communicated and coordinated with airline companies, and they will jointly offer comprehensive services to the stranded passengers.
