It’s the survivors of drunk driving who often pay the more painful price.
It’s the parents, siblings, friends, and loved ones left behind to deal with the tragedy, who will always remember happier days, thinking of what could have been, But For The Crash.
This chilling novel is based on a true story that took place in 2001. Three college students took a road trip to perform a charitable mission. But For The Crash, instead of arriving safely, they were killed by a drunk driver traveling on the wrong side of the highway.
The three killed were students at a Minnesota Christian college, and before the story ends, readers will get an idea of the traumatic toll this type of tragedy can have on a community.
The crash not only impacts the families of the victims, but the lives of everyone involved in the case, including the prosecutor, defense attorney, judge, and the drunk driver. The book’s stunning courtroom drama delivers a most surprising conclusion.
But For The Crash is thought-provoking and compelling. Written by a lawyer, this novel could be used as a textbook for prosecutors and defense attorneys working on DUI felony cases.
