PRLog - April 20, 2010 - A bevy of beauties were at the Harvard Club in NYC tonight. A 31 year old Glen Grant, a 25 year old Port Ellen and 20 year old Macallan were to name a few of the celebrities. The evening MC was none other than Douglas of Drumlanrig the immensly private independent bottler to the old world guards. The crowd pleasers for the evening came from the elusive Braeval distillery which was short lived and closed 18 years ago. The other surprise was the Blair Athol 13 year old who has many surprises in its casks since 1787. The Laphroaig 15 year old which Paul Pacult gives his Highest Recommendation in the December 2009 Spirits Journal, seemed to be the most called for and I can understand why. Laphroaig just gets started at 15 years old according to Paul Pacult. Many of the Maltheads saw theses Scotches recently in the front windows of park Avenue Liquors and found the evening to be a deeply moving experience.
