MTN Congo is joining forces with MoobiFUN to provide SMS chat services for its subscribers.

April 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Constantly looking for innovative products that are adapted to its customers' requirements, MTN Congo has provided its subscribers with a new place to exchange, share and communicate, called “MTN ChatSMS”.

This service enables MTN Congo subscribers to sign up to the service by sending the word “chat” by SMS to the short code 1051, then to create their profile using a combination of simple key words, as well as participate in public or private rooms, consult other profiles and find out who is connected and exchange anonymous messages.  

The service now has six lively chat rooms (business, football, mtnnews, meeting, socialising, shopping, small ads), which bring MTN subscribers together on a daily basis.

MoobiCHAT has a user-friendly web interface that is easy to configure, for administration, moderation, animation of the service and real-time moderation of chat room activity.  

The MoobiFUN solution can handle several million messages per day and will give the Congolese operator a better visibility of its customer segments and allow it to create communication and promotion campaigns through games and surveys in the chat rooms.

This service has been taken up by 10% of MTN Congo customers in just one month, is very popular with youngsters and generates large levels of daily traffic to ensure extra revenue and a very quick return on investment.
