Channel 7's awarding winning investigative reporter Hank Phillippi Ryan returns to Blackstone’s with a new mystery novel
By: Blackstone's of Beacon Hill

April 19, 2010 - PRLog -- On Saturday May 8th from noon to 3:00pm, Hank Phillippi Ryan, Channel 7's investigative reporter and mystery novelist will make a return engagement to Blackstone’s of Beacon Hill to sign copies of her latest mystery, "DRIVE TIME".  Ryan appeared at Blackstone’s last year during the Beacon Hill Holiday Stroll and signed numerous copies of her previous mysteries, Prime Time, Face Time and Air Time.  Air Time was nominated for a 2009 Agatha award for best novel.

To make Ms. Ryan feel at home Blackstone’s will convert its front counter into a mock broadcast booth complete with on-air signs, microphones and headsets all donated by Ed Perry, the legendary owner of WATD's 95.9fm station in Marshfield.  One of the microphone’s is a 1938 model used by Orson Welles in his now infamous Halloween broadcast of H.G. Wells’ The War of the Worlds that sent panic waves around the nation.

All of Ms. Ryan's novels have been well received and critically acclaimed. Drive Time is no exception.  The chilling reality of Ryan’s main character, Charlotte "Charlie" McNally is of a life that must deal with revenge, extortion, hidden family secrets and yes...murder.  It is a tale you won't soon forget.  So get out your cloak and daggers, magnifying glasses and finger print dust and come and enjoy an afternoon with Hank Phillippi Ryan.  Signed copies of her book will make a wonderful gift for a friend, Mother's day or for you.
