Relief for sufferers of asthma, allergies, and immune deficiencies will appreciate the imaginative work of the newly formed Epsilon Therapeutics. Led by Lisa Ganley-Leal, Epsilon Therapeutics has determined that emplacing certain types of parasitic worms improves the lives of those suffering from these diseases. Explaining what may be happening, Ganley-Leal said, "people with parasite infections have lots of IgE in their serum and lots of the cells that cause allergies, but they don't have allergies,"
The Imagination Gardener will present a weekly award to the most significant imaginative idea. The award to Ganley-Leal is the first presentation of this award. "We are also asking fans of imagination to refer future potential winners to us at our website: http://www.imaginationgardener.com," said Mick Mortlock of the Imagination Gardener.
About Mick Mortlock: Mortlock was named one of America's leading futurists by The Public Manager, a prominent publication reaching federal, state and county government leaders. His career was recently profiled in The Oregonian, and he serves on the boards of Oregon non-profits.
