New Diabetes Radio Show Tells the Story of Millions

April 16, 2010 - PRLog -- LOS ANGELES, CA  – With more than 26 million people living with diabetes in the United States alone, the disease has a strangle hold on our society, yet is often ignored.

A new online radio show launching on Monday April 19th aims to shine a light on diabetes and tell the stories of the millions of people who are living and thriving with the disease. Hosted by Type 2 diabetic and founder of yoga4diabetes, Bradley Kapture, Diabetes Health Alternatives will share insights into the latest diabetes treatments, management techniques and advice from a long list of experts in diabetes care, including nutritionist Elizabeth DeRobertis, footcare specialist Dr Elliot Plotkin, the founders of Diabetes Daily, David and Elizabeth Edelman and celebrity trainer, Kim Lyon from NBC’s ‘The Biggest Loser’.

“I’ve lived with diabetes for years and watched my own father die from diabetes complications” says Kapture. “Thankfully, diabetes is a frequent topic of conversation now, but with more and more people being diagnosed with diabetes, and at younger ages, I feel it’s crucial to have a forum for discussion, advice and debate about the disease.”

In addition to traditional diabetes care and management information, the show will also focus on alternative therapies, and share stories from listeners on how diabetes has impacted on their lives. Speaking ahead of the Diabetes Health Alternatives launch, host Bradley Kapture says he’s looking forward to helping the diabetes community;

“The response so far has been fantastic, and I can’t wait to start doing my part to educate people on diabetes and also learn from others how they’re leading  a full and healthy life with the disease.”
