April 15, 2010 - PRLog -- TORINO, Italy – Bonelli Macchine Grafiche is bringing the future of high speed print finishing engines to the world. Named the Futura, this new line of advanced digital finishing solutions was developed to help printers improve the quality of their bound product while lowering their production cost.

“Printers will be able to produce a stitched product at a lower cost that has the same quality components of a perfect bound product,” said Jay Bellanca with Bonelli America. “Printers investing in the state of the art Futura machine should be able to recognize a quick return on their investment.”

The Bonelli Futura machine is a truly new innovation in the art of binding printed materials. The high speed print finishing engine uses a state-of-the-art application of a reverse wire stitch with a scored cover adhered with adhesive to affordably produce a product that has the look and feel of a high-priced perfect bound product. The entire binding process is conveniently accomplished at high speeds - without the added cost of PUR adhesive application - while also achieving excellent strength and flexibility.

“It is a high tech machine that can really help printers squeeze excess costs out of the entire binding process,” Bellanca said. “This is a time for firms to look at leveraging new technology to create more efficiency out of the print finishing process.”

At more than 600 feet per minute, even with a product width up to 1000 millimeters, the Futura machine is one of the most efficient binding machines available in the industry. Standard configuration for the machine ranges from two millimeter thickness up to 15 millimeters and products of greater thickness can be produced with additional equipment.

“Best of all variable thickness products will be able to run in line,” Bellanca said. “This saves the printer the hassle of having to stop for varied thicknesses of the product line.”

The new Futura machine also can handle the backend work for print finishing including stacking, addressing and mail sorting after trimming. It also is modular, customizable and is easily compatible with nearly any major print machine manufacturer.

"This will change the dynamics of finishing digitally produced books. The Futura will bring a industrial quality finishing machine to the digital market at an affordable price", says John Burgess, Sales Manager Worldwide, Bonelli Macchine Grafiche, Torino, Italy.

Service and parts for the machine are also conveniently available in the United States.
