FORCE TEN EXPEDITION TENTS

FORCE TEN FEATURES

POWERFLEX - FIBREGLASS:
Vango only uses the highest possible grade of fibreglass for their poles. Used in various lengths and diameters which are specifically selected to suit the design of the tent. The steel ferrules and tips are finished to give smooth and snag-free travel though pole sleeves and eyelets. All selections are ‘shock-corded’ together for ease of pitching.

TAPED SEAMS:
All Vango tents have taped flysheet seams sealed using a hot-air tape which bonds strongly with the PU coating on the flysheet fabric, to seal the holes produced by sewing action of the needles during production.

TBS PRO - LIGHTWEIGHT TENSION BAND SYSTEM:
All lightweight versions of the tried and tested TBS - Tension Band System, utilise a ‘cord’ system instead of the webbing as used on TBS.

SILICON FLYSHEET:
Coating the fabric with silicon elastomer acts as a barrier to UV degradation, water absorption and soiling.

COLOUR CODED POLES:
Match the poles to the sleeve tabs for easy pitching.

3-IN-1:
Combine the footprint with only the flysheet, or use fly, inner and groundsheet for more comfort.

GEAR LOFT:
Increase usable storage space in the tent with net storage pockets located in the top of the tent. It is an ideal place to keep essential items that require to found quickly and easily.

FLAT POLE SLEEVES:

The new range has all those attributes. The Force Ten Vortex is one of those additions to Vango's expedition range, which is designed to withstand extreme conditions. Its Hytex SPU (silicon outer / PU coated inner surface) Xtreme flysheet is tough and totally waterproof and the Tri-Support System (TSS) is a revolutionary stabilising pole system, which adds significantly to the stability of upright alloy poles. TSS works by supporting the inside of the pole arch to combat side winds and pressure and is removable to save weight in LW expedition conditions. The self-standing geodesic construction of the Force Ten Vortex is extremely stable in high winds.

Top British mountaineer, Alan Hinkes chose to take a Force Ten Vortex with him on his latest and successful expedition to climb the north face of Annapurna. Amongst other expeditions, home and abroad, Vango was selected as the official tent supplier for the 72-hour adventure challenge race - The Red Bull Northern Exposure in the Cairngorm Mountains, where the Vango Force Ten Vortex tents were used at checkpoints throughout the course.
