By: Mike Ingberg In her new role, Wooten will oversee the operations of the VPA offices in southeastern Michigan (Ann Arbor, Flint, Marysville, Saginaw, Southfield, Taylor and Utica) and Virginia (Williamsburg) Wooten has served VPA in a variety of capacities since 2001. She began her career as a medical assistant and intake coordinator. She later transitioned into roles as an assistant manager, and then practice manager at the Flint office. In Aug. 2009, she was named area manager over the Flint and Southfield offices. Wooten received her Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management from Baker College in Flint and a Business Administration (BSBA) Bachelor’s Degree from Oakland University in Rochester, Mich. Wooten also holds a Medical Assistant Certification from Carnegie in Michigan. VPA specializes in the care of the geriatric and homebound patient. Founded in 1993, it now has 30 offices in eight states and more than 145 highly-qualified physicians and specialists on staff who are experts in treating the needs of the aged through comprehensive medical care in the home ranging from routine exams to complex treatment plans.
