The new Aloft Green Bay, WI hotel celebrates an Anniversary

April 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Green Bay, WI --  It’s a Birthday Bash-a-go-go style and it’s at our place, the Aloft Green Bay.  The trend-setting hotel turns one-year old this month and celebrates in style.  A sassy, savvy night is in store for Green Bay corporate travelers, the business community and all guests.  The Aloft opens its front doors, on Wednesday, April 28th with edgy models and music, specialty drinks and appetizers, at 5:00 p.m.  The birthday party culminates with a Fashion Show at 7:00 p.m.

The Aloft Green Bay has earned a reputation for unparalled service, friendliness, fun, and great style.  Proving today’s traveler really can have accessible and affordable…along with their iPod, fab-fitness center, and check in available via high-tech kiosks, which allow guests to do everything from print a last minute boarding pass to selecting their floor and aloft guest room.   All part of what Starwood expects with its newest brand, a select-service hotel that brings the cosmopolitan out, in this city.  A city known for the Green and Gold of its beloved Packers football club, Aloft shows its spirit with colorful striped décor, modern furniture and a courtyard,  which Aloft fondly calls “our Back Yard”.  Guests frequently comment how surprised they are to find such a European feel and flavor while relaxing in their aloft room or mingling with friends and fellow hotel guests in its Vegas-eske W xyz lounge.

Willard,  along with Kurt Furlong,  Senior Vice President & Principal, Sales & Marketing started managing this Green Bay property shortly after it opened its front doors for its first guests.  Furlong says, “this new, fresh hotel is quickly becoming the model for other hotels to aspire to… in both customer service and style.”  

Newest member to the Aloha Talent Team, Director of Sales, Stacie Christel, joined the Aloft after almost 11 years at the number one rated Hilton Garden Inn Green Bay.  Christel says,  "As the Aloft begins its second year in Green Bay, I am excited to have joined the best hotel in the area and am looking forward to what the future holds here.  Stay tuned for a fun-filled year as we grow together!"

The hotel will celebrate in style with specially designed drinks such as the “Birthday Breeze”, and a hip, fresh DJ for the models to sashay to while flaunting hair, clothing, makeup, and jewelry design all from locally owned Green Bay shops, spas and salons.  
Opening in one of the toughest years for a new hotel, Furlong says the Aloft will not only succeed, but will thrive.  He adds, “this Aloft hotel brand has not only shaken up Green Bay, but the staid, traditional segment of the hotel market as well."
