International Investigation Academy Opens in Agoura Hills

April 13, 2010 - PRLog -- The BEFG Group is pleased to announce the opening of the ISIT (pronounced I-S-I-T) Academy in Agoura Hills.  ISIT stands for Investigations, Security, Intelligence and Training.  The ISIT Academy offers several training courses designed to help qualified individuals to quickly obtain the skill sets necessary to work as Private Investigators, Security Managers, Investigative/Photo Journalist and Intelligence Operatives.
The instructor staff is made of agents and investigators that are active or retired from the FBI, LAPD, ATF, or other government and private organizations.  They are all qualified to instruct and teach from their own firsthand experience.
The Certified Professional Investigator Training (CPIT) course is designed to take the amateur  investigator or journalist and turn them into a professional in just ten weeks.  The students are trained in civil and criminal investigations, undercover investigations, missing persons, asset recovery, field forensics and even polygraph.  The Academy also offers a "Certified Master Investigator" training course (CMIT) for students who want to further their skills with additional "hands on" experience.  For retired Law Enforcement, the Academy runs a Law Enforcement Transition Training Course (LETT) designed to expedite the licensing process and teach the business skills needed to operate successfully in the private sector.
What are the entrance requirements for the ISIT Academy?  You must be over 18 years of age, be a high school graduate (or GED equivalent), and not have a criminal record.  For some of the jobs, there may also be some physical ability standards.  
The ISIT Academy also offers low cost & no cost training to the local community in State Guard Certification, Self Defense, Fugitive Recovery, Skip Tracing and a variety of other related topics.  The Academy has a live-scan fingerprint machine on site that is available to expedite state and federal background checks for licensing.  It is also available to the general public with an appointment.
The Academy has established Speakers Bureau to inform the community on safety and security with topics that include:
Identity Theft         Investment Fraud      Elder Abuse   
Terrorism Awareness      Basic Background Checks   Self Defense Tools   
Private  Investigation      A Carrier in Criminal Justice (Expectations and Myths)

The Academy will send one of our Agents to your civic or community group (minimum of 25 in attendance) to speak on these or a variety of other topics for FREE.  Most of the presentations are about twenty minutes in length (we also have longer presentations) and all of them are entertaining.  Speaker availability is subject to scheduling restrictions of the instructor and the academy.
