The Honda Really Big Thing Sales Event Riverside and San Bernardino

April 13, 2010 - PRLog -- Honda is making history with their new campaign, “The Really Big Thing”.  For the first time in the manufacturer’s history new Honda Vehicles can be purchased with zero percent down, zero percent security deposit, zero dollars at lease signing and a first month payment of zero dollars.  Although these too-good-to-be-true numbers hint at hidden costs, the monthly payments remain reasonable, hovering around the $250 for sedans and $350 for SUVs.  The only apparent restrictions come in the form of a 35 month lease agreement  and  excellent credit standing  but these are standard requirements seen across all new car finance programs.  The entire Honda lineup is included in this weird but wonderful offering.  Honda.com lists the 2010 Accord Coupe, Accord Sedan, Accord Crosstour, CR-V, Civic Sedan, Element, Fit, Insight, Odyssey, Pilot and Ridgeline models all with 0% rates.

Honda is gambling that this revolutionary strategy with virtually no upfront costs, will help them sell more new cars than expected following the sluggish economy of 2009.  So far it’s working.  Honda sales are up and surpassing most other manufacturers .  Recent  safety concerns about Toyota vehicles has aided Honda sales as well.  Although Toyota sales are still going strong, new car shoppers are being drawn to Honda dealerships to see if the triple zero advertisements are for real.  If all goes as planned new car shoppers will strike while the iron is hot and Honda will see a big, fat sales increase by the close of the incentive program deadline on May 3, 2010.
