I wanted to invite you to an event my Aupairs are attending on May 8th 2010 in Atlantic City.
My aupairs will be attending the Shirley Mae Run. They are running this race in honor of one of our aupairs from Sweden that had to go home early because she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer a few months ago at the young age of twenty. She was a great girl and is sadly missed here by her host family and friends. The cancer did spread throughout her body. She already had one operation and will be going through more operations soon. We will be making shirts with her picture on them and each girl will be wearing the shirt during the run.
I wanted to let you know about this event and incident. So many young woman/girls do not know that they are able to develop cancer at such a young age. We want to get the word out and hopefully let people know.
