Republican candidate for U.S. House of Representatives David Benning won the endorsement of the California Republican Assembly for the June 2010 primary in California's 30th Congressional District.

Five Republican candidates are competing for the chance to run against 18-term Democratic Congressman Henry A. Waxman in the district that encompasses parts of the San Fernando Valley, West Los Angeles, West Hollywood, Malibu, Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. The CRA's endorsement was announced Saturday after Benning won the support of more than two-thirds of the delegates.

The California Republican Assembly is the state's oldest and largest Republican volunteer organization.
