Lightweight and portable, the Gallery Stretcher - 60 can easily be transported from room to room. The unit is designed to operate in a high production environment by an unskilled operator, and it can be operated as a stand-alone unit or enhance yield on a busy production line.
Canvas Stretching Machine LLC pioneered the concept of stretching canvas on a horizontal plane with the artwork face up. Staples can very easily be applied from the front, and with material positioned on this plane, folds can be made in-place, eliminating the need to move the artwork to a separate staging area.
"Of all the canvas stretching machines available on the market, only a few can produce a gallery wrap," stated Canvas Stretching Machine's creator David Weaver. "Art lovers especially like the technique because it digitally wraps the printed image over the side of a wooden stretcher bar, eliminating the need for costly picture frames."
Other machines which are capable of producing gallery wraps require as much as 2.5 inches of excess canvas beyond the base of the stretcher bar, while the Gallery Stretcher reduces that material to 1.5 inches, which produces considerable savings for high-volume prints shops that print miles of rolled canvas.
