Energy infrastructure protection, vital to our nation’s economy and security, will be at the forefront at this year’s NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM on Homeland Security and Defense™, Oct. 27-29.
Mr. Bernd “Bear” McConnell, Director of Interagency Cooperation for US Northern Command and the North American Aerospace Defense Command will moderate a panel discussion, “Securing our Nation’s Infrastructure,”
On Oct. 29, Retired Navy Capt. Rob Ffield will moderate a panel on the Department of Defense strategy to meet energy goals and mandates. The discussion will explore how private industry can help DOD achieve these important objectives.
Later the same day, another panel of experts will discuss issues surrounding Critical Energy Infrastructure Protection. The panel will explore current plans for ensuring secure energy for our nation’s military bases and the obstacles that still must be overcome.
The NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM on Homeland Security and Defense™ is the nation’s leading public forum on homeland security and homeland defense. The 2010 symposium is the eighth annual conference organized by the National Homeland Defense Foundation. The symposium features international experts discussing the latest research, operations and policies affecting homeland security and defense.
