After a short stint in design rehab, Niki’s Pizza is ready to welcome patrons back to their Greektown location with a new layout and delectable food and drink specials. The Grecian theme of this Greektown staple is sure to impress as the public can expect the same delicious Greek cuisine prepared for over 30 years. While Niki’s is now open, grand re-opening festivities will take place during the week of April 12th and will feature press tours for local print, television, radio and online media on April 14th from 4pm-7pm. Niki’s will also host the “Chow Down for Charity” pizza eating contest with participation by mid- and Southeast-Michigan Greek fraternities and sororities on April 15th from 7pm-10pm.
Hailed by GQ magazine writer Alan Richman as one of the nation’s 25 best pizzas, Niki’s has taken its place as an icon in the local community. With the April 2010 re-opening, Niki’s has great events planned to usher in its new era. The addition of an art gallery in the restaurant, showcasing images of the Greek countryside and a special weekly Thursday artist feature, serve as a fantastic touch of class. Furthermore, located above Niki’s is Niki’s Lounge. This venue has been expanded into four entertainment areas that now include The Tiger Lounge, The Hollywood Bar and Arriba.
