Components of the marketing campaign include email marketing, online banners, e-newsletters and social media marketing, as well as dedicated microsite and print media advertising.
This year also sees the Algarve kick starting 2010 with a new campaign presenting the ‘Algarve: Europe’s most famous secret’. A number of locals are involved in the campaign spreading the ‘secret’ and using their first-hand knowledge of the region to tell visitors from Portugal and abroad what the Algarve has to offer. The region has invested 300,000 Euros in the new campaign, which has already been launched in Portugal. With its breathtaking coastline, natural landscapes and traditional gastronomy, the Algarve provides an authentic holiday experience – a concept the locals are very proud of.
