Financial Literacy Event For Single Women Scheduled For May 5 in Westbury, New York

April 8, 2010 - PRLog -- A presentation highlighting financial planning for single women will take place on Wednesday, May 5, from 7 to 8 PM at  in Westbury, New York. The free event will be hosted by Ameriprise Financial at 1600 Stewart Avenue in the building's lobby conference center.

"Strong Women-Powerful Financial Strategies" will be directed toward empowering single women, including divorcees, widows  and single mothers, with greater personal finance information and acumen. Topics will cover comprehensive financial planning , and focus on money management, investment strategy and retirement planning. Women continue to take on an increasingly significant role in today's financial markets, controlling more than half the private wealth in the United States. Single women, in particular, represent a growing percentage among home and small business owners.
