Dietzenbach, Germany, March 16th, 2010 – Dimetis GmbH, an international systems integrator and leading provider of Broadcast OSS solutions, today announced that its BOSS LINK Manager® software has been selected by Vodafone D2 GmbH to manage the broadcast media traffic across an IP/MPLS network, within a dedicated project.
BOSS LINK Manager® will allow Vodafone D2 GmbH the ability to dynamically configure, schedule, monitor and control transmission of numerous signal types, including DVB-ASI, 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet, and uncompressed SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI video formats.
Managing gateway routers as well as the 10 Gig Hybnet core, BOSS LINK Manager® will interface to the Vodafone D2 GmbH MRP planning system to provide automated and/or manual scheduling and switching of services. All network transmissions can be precisely configured, bandwidth-managed, and logged through a web client interface.
Quality of Service (QoS) guarantees throughout the network are provided by BOSS LINK Manager® and its unique combination of real-time monitoring with real-time inventory management, automatically switching to alternate or back-up paths should main signal path performance degrade below predefined service level agreement thresholds.
In addition to IP/MPLS networks, BOSS LINK Manager® is also capable of bridging across fragmented ATM, Frame Relay, SONET/SDH, IP, as well as DTM environments.
