April 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Texting. Instant messaging. Commenting. Blogging. Poking. Tweeting. Checking your e-mail. Updating your Facebook status. Refreshing your Twitter. Face it…we're all Internet junkies. The new online series entitled “You Can’t Do That On The Internet” follows seven cyber addicts as they wrestle with their addictions, navigate the consequences of technology, and survive the hilarious hijinks of reconnecting to the “real world.” They’ve formed a support group to commiserate about their addictions, but will it help them pull the plug or enable their habit even more?

“I wanted to poke fun at our societies growing addiction to social networking. Our computer has become our confidant, a matchmaker, and a place where we’ve put our lives on display – sometimes to our detriment, “ said Kate Sargeant who also recently wrote an episode of the hit show CASTLE for ABC. “The face of social media is constantly evolving – first it was MySpace and now Facebook and Twitter have taken over our Internet addictions. We can all relate to these characters and laugh at ourselves at the same time,” she adds.  Fans can get the full YCDTOTI Internet experience by following the characters on Twitter, joining our Facebook page, and commenting on our YouTube channel. We want you to get addicted and come back for more!

Written, directed and produced by Kate Sargeant (3 Ninjas, Freaky Friday 1995) , the ensemble comedy stars Nicholas Downs as Max, Kelly Huddleston as Cassie, Theresa JunE-Tao as Leslie, Mary Alyce Kania (Dexter) as Becky, Brady Matthews (Jimmy Kimmel Live) as Justin, John Francis O’Brien as Chris, Joseph Williamson (Grey's Anatomy) as Brandon, and Kate Sargeant as Kate. “You Can’t Do That On The Internet” was also produced by Niki Williams and Moni Boyce.
