New York, NY - April 6, 2010 - Up and coming hip hop emcee, Broadway Miller, knows all too well about the hectic life of an underground music artist...numerous performances, hustling mixtapes, endless travel, proving your worth, and fighting for support many times in vain. But surely there's no greater feat for a rising star than to be acknowledged by his/her homestate for all of their hard work. North Carolina spoke, unanimously, and did just that. The Chadbourn born and bred rapper was crowned "Best New Artist" during the 2010 annual North Carolina Underground Music Awards. Artists were nominated from at least twelve categories including: "Best New Rap Artist of the Year", "Best R&B Artist of the Year" and "Best Lyricist of the Year". Miller, also nominated in 2008, shared the category with twelve other hopefuls.
The win comes on the heels of B. Miller's featured performance for The Metropolitan Muse Concert Series and opening for Waka Flocka Flame in Lumberton, NC. Bloggers are stamping Miller's latest release "Break It Down" CERTIFIED HEAT, fans from Chadbourn to DC are finally taking notice and Broadway Miller believes, "hard work always pays off! Hard work, faith in God and perseverance is what keeps my grind strong. I advise everyone working towards the same goal to CATCH UP OR GET CAUGHT!"
