April 6, 2010 - PRLog -- Headline:  Commercial Real Estate Is Becoming as Valuable as Natural Gas

Drilling for natural gas in the Marcellus Shale region has made commercial real estate a commodity almost as valuable as natural gas itself.  Hundreds of companies have come into the Marcellus Shale region looking for commercial and industrial real estate.  Gas and gas service companies are looking for everything from commercial office space to warehouses to open land to store vehicles and equipment.  Most of the areas where the drilling is occurring is in rural areas where there is not an infrastructure to meet their needs.  Because of their somewhat unique real estate needs, these companies are relying more and more on local real estate brokers.

The broker at the forefront of much of the commercial leasing in the North Central Pennsylvania counties is Brent Fish, President of Fish Commercial Group.  “Commercial demand for industrial space has been increasing rapidly the last couple years and will probably continue at this rate for the next year or two,” stated Fish.

Another indication of the demand for real estate is being demonstrated on the PAGasDirectory.com web site.  This web site, which connects the gas industry with local businesses, has seen strong interest in real estate.  “Real estate is our second most popular business category and that is consistent in every county.  Demand is strong and getting stronger as drilling increases” observed Joe Barone, President, PAGasDirectory.com.

To help meet the demand, Fish Real Estate/Fish Commercial Group has recently begun a banner advertising campaign on PAGasDirectory.com.  “We see PAGasDirectory.com as a targeted marketing effort to connect with the natural gas industry,” said Fish.

PAGasDirectory is the leading online directory that connects the natural gas industry with local Pennsylvania businesses.  The directory has over 116,000 Pennsylvania businesses organized on a county by county in the 53 counties in the Marcellus Shale area.  It is the web site where gas workers, their spouses, and families find local Pennsylvania businesses.
