This clever book comments on the state of disrepair in American culture, politics, economics, government, sex and more. Just why did Kiki run away from the synagogue and never look back? (“I’m sure going to Hell for this one.”)
She explains why rock music is not just great music, but “a state of being” that saved her life – “Praise Jesus” – changing it from the ordinary to the extraordinary. Kiki admits she has never been conventional, so the sounds embodied in Rock & Roll took her to places she had never been. From The Beatles to Bruce Springsteen, Kiki is a true fan of the genre.
Her story begins with a rock concert that changed her life. Kiki’s deliciously funny commentary will lift you up in a world today that is sadly lacking pick-me-ups. So get your groove on and let this book rock you.

About the Author: Carolyn “Kiki” Cummings, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist in Houston. Though she has practiced her profession for the past 30 years, she freely admits that for the past 16 years she has been bossed around by her cat, Miss Chloe. The author does not enjoy writing about psychology, she much prefers writing the funny and upbeat story of her life. “You can either laugh, cry, shoot somebody, or shoot yourself. I don’t want to go to jail. I don't want to die just yet. I hate crying. There’s nothing left to do but laugh.”
