While the majority of Moogo's users come from English speaking countries, a large, steady flow of visitors from Brazil has been apparent since Moogo first appeared on the scene. Brazil, which has the largest online population in Latin America (+30 million) and where the average internet user spends approximately 27 hours on the net per month (4 hours more than worldwide average), acts as the perfect platform where to expand Moogo's activities to.
"Moogo Brazil has been open for beta users since the start of March and the feedback and enthusiasm has been extremely positive! We look forward to expanding our service to growing markets like Brazil, and more new languages are coming out during this Spring", says CEO Mikko Nurminen.
In order to celebrate this occasion, we invited Mr. Moacir Rodovalho – who handles trade and investment between Finland and Brazil – of the Brazilian embassy to open the first official site with Moogo Brazil and discuss how to further develop and market the service in Brazil.
“This type of service has great potential in Brazil. We have lots of SME's who are just now discovering the web, and most of all have the money to establish their presence on there”, states Moacir.
With those facts facts in mind, Moogo wants continue to serve people across the globe and offer them best possible user experience by translating its services to the user's native language.
In addition to localizing services in different language areas, Moogo is looking for possible partners to provide local customer support and payment methods in order to offer the best possible service for the growing user base and to retain its competitive edge on the market.
