April 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Fifty percent of the 65 million dogs in the U.S. are expected to have cancer in their lifetimes. Many caretakers are not able to afford the high cost of treatment for their dog's cancer. The Magic Bullet Fund is a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to families who have a dog with cancer but cannot afford treatment. The fund runs solely on the generous donations from its sponsors and volunteers. To date, MBF has helped almost 100 dogs receive cancer treatment.
On May 16th the 3rd Annual Paws 4 A Cure Canine Cancer Walk will be held in Wakefield, MA. All proceeds will be given as a grant to the Magic Bullet Fund. In 2009 more than 300 walkers and their dogs attended and the event raised $9,500 for the Magic Bullet Fund dogs. Spend the day with others who love their dogs like you love yours!
Magic Bullet Fund founder, Laurie Kaplan, will be at the event to talk about the fund, her book Help Your Dog Fight Cancer and her new pet loss book, So Easy To Love, So Hard To Lose.
