Fort Adams Hosts its First Boy Scout Overnight of the Season

More than a dozen scouts and parents from Boy Scout Troop 3:Lee, MA enjoyed their overnight stay in Historic Fort Adams on Saturday March 27, 2010. During thier stay, the troop enjoyed a guided tour of this National Historic Landmark.

April 5, 2010 - PRLog -- Newport, RI, Historic Fort Adams  – More than a dozen scouts and parents from Boy Scout Troop 3:Lee, MA enjoyed their overnight stay in Historic Fort Adams on Saturday, March 27, 2010.   The troop camped in the middle of the 6 ¼ acre parade field surrounded by the 180 year old Fort’s majestic walls.  
The Fort Adams Trust offers group packages for both tented and indoor overnight stays both of which can include guided tours of this National Historic Landmark.  Our restored Overnight Barracks includes four modern bathrooms, a common room with a kitchen area, sink, mini fridge, oak tables and benches, as well as, three sleeping rooms containing a total of 38 bunk spaces.  Both the barracks and tented overnights are seasonal, opening in early April, and are booked on a first come first serve basis though October. Availability is limited, so contact us soon to reserve an overnight stay for your group.
