April 4, 2010 - PRLog -- The Princess of Coffee and a Dragon Set to Encourage Business in Berkshire

In 2008 The Richard Report, an investigation into business support, commissioned by The Conservative Party, found that 99.7% of UK enterprises are small to medium enterprises (SMEs) and 47.5% of the UK workforce are employed in organisations with less than 10 employees.  At that time the government were spending £2.5 million per year to support small businesses but with little or no effect. Since the report was written the UK has fallen into a recession which we are hoping is about to ease but what can small businesses do to find the light at the end of the recession tunnel.

The author of The Richard Report, former Dragon’s Den star Doug Richard will be sharing his entrepreneurial experiences and offering advice to business owners at the Business Supremacy Summit being held in Reading in July 2010. "We have an opportunity now to change the way we think about what we do. Recession gives us the freedom which we do not have in the good times because we know what was working and doesn't work now," says Richard.

The event also feature Sahar Hashemi, co-founder of Coffee Republic , the first coffee chain established in the UK, who believes that everyone has got an entrepreneurial spirit within them and you do not need to have made £1 million in the school playground in order to succeed in running you own business. “When you are short of money you become more creative. Success is not about power, not about money, it is about loving what you do,” says Sahar. Delegates at the Summit will have the opportunity to ask questions of these successful entrepreneurs and one lucky delegate will also have chance, via a lucky draw, to have lunch with all of the headline speakers.

The Business Supremacy Summit 2010 will take place at the Madjeski Stadium on Thursday 1 July.  Delegate passes are available at an early bird rate of £175 per person. Visit www.newsbusinessheights.co.uk to register.
