Keyport, NJ – Professional photographer Ron Schmidt has launched his dog photographs into the online world. Introducing Looseleashes.com:
The website offers an ever-growing line of dog images of many popular breeds for dog fans everywhere. Starting by sketching the images out, creating the set and/or props and then, casting the right dog “model” for the part, Ron creates images that are conceptual pieces of art. “I like to produce images that are both fun and timeless. From locating the right props and to casting the perfect dog, the end goal is to create character driven photos that evoke both laughter and wonder,” says Schmidt, whose popular images include two courageous labs in a canoe: Lewie & Clark, The Adventurers, an angelic Westie named Clarence, The Heavenly Dog and The Cream Puff dog, Biscuit.
Prints are available in three options: 8x10 unframed prints, 12x15 or 16x20 framed prints, which are matted under glass in a high quality black frame. You will find that many of the dogs also have character profiles that are on the backs of the unframed 8x10s. It is even possible to get a signed print by the artist, Ron Schmidt himself!
Not only are the clever pictures displayed all over the site, Schmidt’s dog photos can be found all over stationary, home décor and publishing industry. His biggest accomplishment includes a must-have children’s book-titled Loose Leashes, published by Random House in 2009 featuring 17 of his dog images alongside lighthearted poetry written by his wife. Due to the huge success, the second book from this husband and wife team is currently in the works.
About the Company
Loose Leashes was founded in 2004 by Ron Schmidt and his wife, Amy. What started out as a series of holiday images that Ron sent out to family, friends and clients has turned into a successful company that is adored by dog aficionados globally. Because animal rights issues are extremely important to the Schmidt’s, a portion of the proceeds are sent to local animal shelters.
