PRLog (Press Release) - Apr. 1, 2010 - Debi M. Molfese of Seymour, CT, a Community Marketing Executive with Welcome Wagon® International, has announced that several Southbury and Woodbury businesses have joined the United States’ largest homeowner welcoming program. Eight Southbury-based businesses, Floré Fine Flowers, Dr. William Filchak, Barnum Financial Group, The Green Maid, Flagstar Bank, Pet Aesthetics, Send Out Cards, and the Southbury Plaza are all currently marketing through Welcome Wagon. Woodbury-based businesses, Stepping Out on Main and West Chevrolet, as well as Mister Sparky in Seymour, all recently began marketing to new area residents through the nation’s most well-known, 81 year-old Welcome Wagon venue.

“Our marketing materials,” explained Molfese, “target a very specific target niche market, new residents to an area. These residents include single family homeowners, condo and townhouse owners and single family home renters.” The recently-redesigned Welcome Wagon® Gift Book packets are mailed to new residents within targeted zip codes, and followed 90 days later with an “Especially for You” Gift Offer Packet. “By directing our Gift Book to new residents in a specific zip code, our local business partners know exactly where their marketing ambitions are targeted. Our Gift Book welcome packets educate new residents on local restaurants, dry cleaners, florists, hair salons and many more important day-to-day-living services.”

As Welcome Wagon marketing partners, all of the area businesses working with Ms. Molfese can provide complimentary housewarming gifts to newcomers in the area. “Each partner,” explained Molfese, “receives two full pages of advertising in our Welcome Wagon Gift Book packets that are mailed to new residents. These businesses are exclusive advertisers in their business category, i.e. Floré is the exclusive florist, Dr. William Filchak is the exclusive optometrist. On each of their pages, they can offer special services specifically for Gift Book recipients in their target market. They can also use our Monthly List of New Movers which encourages businesses to continue to foster and build new relationships with newcomers to their community.”

For 81 years, Welcome Wagon has been easing the transition for newcomers to communities across the nation. Their complimentary housewarming Gift Book packet includes a keepsake Address Book and is mailed to new residents shortly after they move into their new home. Each Gift Book contains important phone numbers, community information, plus special offerings exclusively tailored to the needs of new residents.

“Most new residents don’t know about local businesses,” stated Molfese. “Our Gift Book provides instant, exclusive offerings specifically for new residents. Our program appeals to businesses that want to target a specific audience. Welcome Wagon’s specialty is to glean target audiences by zip code and provide businesses opportunities to offer exclusive specials.”

Floré Fine Florist owner Lori Friedlander stated, “As a European-style flower market and apothecary, the Floré flower shop offers a delightfully comforting feeling for most visitors. When people move to a new area, they seek out exciting yet comforting retail locations in their new hometown. It’s innate they want to establish an ongoing relationship with businesses they can trust. Introducing Floré Florist to new residents through Welcome Wagon is ideal for my business.”

ABOUT WELCOME WAGON

“The Welcome Wagon program reaches an average of over 700 homes each year through the Tribury area book alone,” stated Molfese. “We U.S. Mail our non-intrusive welcome Gift Packet and Gift Book to busy new residents. We don’t require an in-home visit to deliver our Gift Packet so people can review their Packet as their time permits.”

Since 1928, Welcome Wagon has been helping new residents learn about the businesses and service providers in their communities. Today Welcome Wagon continues its long tradition of service to consumers and business as one of the leading marketing companies focused on helping advertisers connect with movers. Statistics show that 70/% of individuals who receive a Welcome Wagon Gift Book, keep the book for five years or longer.

Through their Community Partners in Progress new resident Gift Book Packet program; low-cost Pinpoint direct mail postcard program; plus their website, www.welcomewagon.com, Welcome Wagon offers numerous marketing opportunities for businesses. “Pinpoint’s full-color post card marketing tool,” stated Molfese, “features beautiful designs that are created for specific audiences for very specific seasons, holidays, events, and more. Many people keep these postcards for quite a long time because they are so beautiful.”

Newly-acquired in 2009 by South Florida Media Group, Welcome Wagon products are available in nearly 3,000 different communities across the United States.
