As a Christian minister, Durbin very successfully incorporated the concept of body, mind and spirit into his hypnosis healing work at the hospital. Working always with a referral from the hospital physicians, he soon developed a high respect from them for his hypnotic skills. His work was particularly powerful to ease patients pain, help them become non-smokers and manage their stress and emotional issues that were troubling them.
Rev. Durbin has been widely recognized for his contributions to the Hypnosis Profession being the recipient of over 25 awards for his writing and work in general. These awards include a "Life Time Achievement Award" from the American Council of Hypnotist Examiners and several "Pen and Quill" awards for his books. His latest award being for his new book, "Hypnotherapy for Mind, Body and Spirit."
In the interview, Durbin takes the opportunity to provide sage advise for those considering or actually starting out in the fascinating profession of Hypnotherapy. He also expands on his important understanding of the relationship between religion and hypnosis.
