Follow on Google News | Support & Advice Available For Young People In HailshamYoung people in Hailsham can receive free support and advice on relationships, health, education and careers at the town council’s Infopoint youth facility at 1 Market Square.
By: Terry Hall, Hailsham Town Council In addition to general careers guidance, the Infopoint facility provides support to young people in other areas related to health, relationships, drugs and alcohol addiction, further education, pregnancy, housing, leisure time and more. Tailored support will be offered or they can take their time and discover the opportunities available to them through the service. Youth project coordinator Andy Joyes said, “Support for young people in a safe and encouraging environment is essential and we have been working with youth organisations and community representatives over the past few years to secure this open drop-in centre. Any young person that feels they need advice or information is welcome to come along and no appointment is necessary.” The Mayor of Hailsham Councillor Dr Ian Haffenden said, “Centres like Infopoint ensure that young people from all backgrounds have access to the support, facilities and opportunities they need in order to get the best start in life.
