Washington, DC- Since Presse Bookstore’s opening, Georgetown’s leading international bookstore’s mission has been to connect its visitors to collections of worldwide literature and to take them on a journey to different parts of the world through the literature and atmosphere of the store. Today, Presse is excited to announce that they are now able to broaden their reach with this unique service through the launch of their new e-Commerce website.
The decision to build an e-Commerce site has come from the interest and growth Presse has seen over the past year through Social Media and the impact that their online outreach has had on gaining a broader fan base. The new site includes interactive areas such as a blog, Facebook, Twitter, Store newsletters as well as a chance to see what Presse’s staff members are recommending. “The launch of the e-Commerce site allows Presse to not only sell international merchandise, but to be accessible at anytime from anywhere around the world,” says Harvetta Asamoah, owner of Presse Bookstore. “This new site will expand our presence beyond the DC metro region, and bring our eclectic collection of books, music, accessories and art to literature lovers around the world.”
The site showcases Presse’s extensive book and music collections which include:
Fiction & Non-fiction
General biographies
International cooking
Religion & Spirituality
Reference (language learning & writing materials)

Film
Music (jazz & classical, biographies & technical music books for musicians).
Through the site, visitors will also have access to over 50,000 digital magazines and books through Zinio; the largest newsstand in the world allowing visitors to search for digital publications in over 15 languages. The site also features Presse’s unique array of accessories, umbrellas and stationary, that store visitors get to enjoy; coupled with an extensive selection of hard-to-find foreign language literature and media from, or related to, 18 countries; now easily searchable and accessible to purchase through simply creating an account and logging on.
