Sandra, who works at Harvard University Library, never met her grandfather. When she hears of his death and her inheritance of his cottage in the small town of Hellis Town, England, she travels there to claim the cottage.
 
But she finds the picturesque cottage is inhabited by a mysterious old man named Harry, who claims to be a spiritual authority, a guru. Sandra stays in Hellis Town, a remote rural town relatively untouched by the contemporary world, to get her cottage back.
Worried about her job at Harvard, her future, and still grieving over a broken relationship, she dwells in temporary accommodations. In the midst of all this havoc, she meets the most amazing characters, all eager to reveal to her the great secrets of their lives. Each story enriches Sandra’s imagination and makes her change her way of looking at the fundamental aspects of life. Lazy Friends reflects a tapestry of extraordinary and tragic stories intertwined with humor.
