Pastor becomes Headmaster of Lutheran School in Itasca
Itasca, IL – 3/29/2010 -- Pastor Alex Duff will assume the position of Headmaster for the Lutheran School of Saint Luke in Itasca for the 2010-2011 school year. Pastor Duff was approved for the post in January. As Headmaster, Pastor Duff will bring with him a strong background in education, church and youth leadership and a passion for providing children a quality Lutheran education.
Prior to becoming an Associate Pastor at Saint Luke, Pastor Duff taught for 18 years at Saint Peter’s Lutheran School in Schaumburg teaching at the Junior High grade level.
In 2002, Pastor Duff was called to Saint Luke as the Associate Pastor where he has served in leading the youth, evangelism and working with the men's ministry. Pastor Duff firmly believes that “there is no better place to educate children than a Lutheran school where the love of Jesus is proclaimed and lived out daily”.
Pastor Duff holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Concordia University-Chicago. In 2002, he graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana and was ordained as a Pastor. Currently, he is pursuing his Master’s degree in School Leadership at Concordia University-Chicago. Upon completion of this Master’s program, Pastor Duff will simultaneously complete the certification of an Illinois State Administrator or Type 75.
